Mine passes the emissions test every year but just occasionally I get the petrol smell. It won't idle at 800 rpm (very choppy) seems to settle at 1000. I'm loath to start messing with botched tools that might make things worse. Maybe a new set of plugs?

There isn’t always a copper washer. Depending on the year it might be a tapered thread plug so it would be worth checking before ordering anything. Never a sign of one,but recently had the oil changed in both and now slight weeping of oil from the gearbox. I'm getting a new clutch on Tuesday so thought it might be worth getting them fitted as it's an MOT fail here in Spain.

Cleaned out the "scoop" of the old congealed oil and now there is a steady drip of old black oil. Any ideas where it might be coming from?
