It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Hmmmm so by the time it's rears up front and each axle is 1 1/2 forward will be an extra 5/6 inches
That's long enough I reckon !

Don't hate me for asking, but why not coil it?

Re: Mikes rotten Kja PROGRESS !!! :)
As this is my build thread I'm going to say some things that people may or may not like.
Coiling is good, but in my mind if you want a coil car go by a land rover
I like leaf springs as there super simple. And it kind of makes an Sj?
Coils are very good, but I'm not caperble of making anything good enough for what I settle for, my setup works well, which is why this projet made sense as in theory it's almost bolt on and drive off, not like before doing everything 5 times
I've been using it quite hard now for a few years, done lots in it on different terrain, know what works with tyres and what shit brakes. I just want to make the truck cooler, won't be as useful offroad as the overhang will be massive but I don't care !
No won't be road legal, sticky trepadors are way too soft for road use, and its so slow with the gearing and missing links and 12 inches of lift have compromised the steering caperbilaties some what !

I do want coils, but are you feeling OK? Land Rover???mike harris wrote:As this is my build thread I'm going to say some things that people may or may not like.

Did you hit your head?
Jimny, mate. Any day of the week I would go Jimny, I would only get a Landy if you paid me.
Then I'd bank that money, sell the landy, and buy a Jimny, put SJ axles under it, and the extra money could pay for lots of nice toys.
As for why you won't coil it, I'd say that "because it's simpler" is a hell of a good reason.

I wouldn't mind a Vit or a GV as a daily...
Or convert a GV to solid front axle and make a sort of Land Cruiser KJ70 style vehicle out of one.
I reckon a GV on Hilux axles with 35's would make an awesome comfy offroader.
