So quick update..

The transfer box mounts I had were wrong somehow and I've now fitted the correct ones, engine is out again and the gearbox mount is reinforced. I have borrowed a angle meter and enlisted the help of my mate bill who origanly fitted this engine in to a discovery chassis. Tommorow I'm going to cut off the front engine mounts and try and get the engine sitting a bit more level

Another update.... I've fitted a 2" body lift and widened the gearbox tunnel to allow som more room for the chunky carlton box

Cheers matey. Bit annoying but s#1t happens!
A bit of a Change of plan, im going to finish all of the welding on top while the body is bolted down (weld on hoop and rear door ect) this will save taking the body on and off so much to repaint the burnt bits from the welder underneath,

Looks good, a bit tall for my liking though, if it's spoa I would loose the bodylift, it's going to be quite unstable off-road being so high.

Then again if I build an SJ and it's over 6' I think it's too tall

I didn't realy want to put the body lift on but because of the size of the gearbox and the height of the engine it had to be done. The engine is now in the truck. I just have to take it out again tonight to weld on some extra gussets on the mounts and paint parts that I've ground back.
