Limited Brakes

Post by Famerbennie » Mon Oct 10, 2016 5:16 pm

Afternoon All, The trusty sj has an issue with the brakes.

The pedal goes to the floor (like theres air in the system) but have bleed the system and still the same and they only seem to work on the front!!
You can pump the pedal and then it goes hard and they all work :D

Thinking Its possible the master cylinder but whats everyone else's thoughts.

That's OK mate, just curious how it went around the engine, it must warm the air up a bit on the way thru to the carb then?

What brakes are on the rear?

If its disc converted need to make sure the bleed nipple is at the top when you bleed them otherwise you can't get the air out.

The other thing you should check is that the drum adjuster are all in good working order

Some don't have a bleed nipple but if it does make sure this is bled.
