Hi guys so will b putting my samurai axles on my sj410 in the next few weeks im running a 1.68v spi engine 410 tbox , and wanting to put 33" tyres on i dint really use the sj on the road but thats how i get to trails and pay play and unless we get snow and have a mess about , so would need to atleast have sumit about it on the road wanting to know if the gearing will be ok as i think i read things would have to change , thanks

I ran 31's on sammy axles with a 413 t-case and a 1.3, and although the 5th gear was useless it ran quite nice. You'll have bigger tyres, but lower t-case ratios. I think you have slightly better overall ratios than I did.
With a 1.6, it should be a completely different kettle of fish, as the 1.6 has about 45% more torque than the 1.3. That should more than make up for the slightly higher gearing you'll have with those big tyres on.
If you want to be closer to stock, then you'll need a 6:1 t-case. They have a 24% better high ratio, and you'll be 2% above factory gearing with it in high (over 100% lower in low) - that it to say, a stock Samurai at 70mph would be running 2% higher rpm than you at 70mph.
To be honest though, with the extra torque of the 1.6, I think the 410 t-case will be fine. I would go for lower gears only if you're very serious about offroading or something.

4:1 t-box and 4.3 R&Ps work for me.
