The (not so) white one
The (not so) white one
Just picked this little gem up from a lovely couple who were very attached to it and didn't really want to see it go, they have owned it since around 99 andeven driven it to Corsica.
(The original) Plan was to do a light restoration keeping it as close to stock as possible (then I found all the rust) maybe with a slight few improvements like a decent carb and power steering.
Had to stop for a mid journey pitstop for a few days though, the previous owner complained of a bad vibration at 40mph....we soon found the cause 1 mile down the road, a UJ on the intermediate prop was pretty shot...so was a slow drive back to Nylonadmirals house until the weekend when I go back with a spare prop, also has carb issues (what stock sj carb doesn't ) but apart from that she's really good with hardly any rust at all, even under the sill covers, just a few small repairs needed. Will be a nice change from the usual rust buckets I buy! (Edit.......I should have poked around harder )
You can tell it's been very well looked after!!

Kinda nice to see an original one. And looks very good too.
Been to Corsica...lovely place, they must have used a ferry or a 2 mile high snorkel...

Re: Yes I've gone and bought another one.....the white one
Scottie dropped this at my place last night. Apart from the bonnet, everything else is very tidy! The pictures don't really do it justice. If you just polished it and swapped the bonnet out it would be probably be one of the tidiest Zuks I've seen.
Good buy Scottie! Nice to see it going to a good home rather than getting stripped for parts

Cheers everyone, I'm looking forward to getting it home this weekend and starting to sort it out and tidy it up.
And a Huge thanks Adam! I dont actually think it would have made it home on that intermediate prop and the last thing i wanted was a wrecked gearbox and transmission tunnel......we've all seen what happens when an intermediate prop lets go
