Aldermaston HPOC/SCUK mashup?
Swampdog over at hpoc.co.uk is looking to organise an Aldermaston meet for the Hilux boys. I'm probably going to go (no dates yet) but I was wondering if there would be any interest in SCUK members joining the Hilux boys (and probably showing them up on the 4x4 course/greenlaning thing, Hilux's are great, but they're no Zuks).
Can't give you dates yet, but if a few SCUK members are interested in hijacking - erm, sorry, I mean joining the event, I'll ask Swampy if he minds.
They're a good bunch, don't seem to mind when I turn up with a zuk (Dihatsu's and such also turn up regularly) and do stuff that only the Hilux boys with lockers seem to manage, and they always have a massive bonfire and bbq.
Or, perhaps we can do Aldermaston on our own?

Not sure, Mike - I *think* so.
It'd be interesting to see your SJ vs PK1's Hilux. He's got detroits front and rear, dual winches, etc etc - he's been doing challenge events for a while now.
I have a feeling your extra articulation will give you an advantage in some situations (his suspension isn't as modded as yours, iirc), but lwb vs swb is never that easy to predict!

It is still 4x4WAC
I went about a year ago. Its a good little site.
Don't think theres anywhere to camp so fire and BBQ might be out of the question.

Dan - swampdog will probably have to arrange a field or something. I'll bring the point up on the hilux forums.

Do we have a rough idea on a date as well?
Maybe I should try and get some wheels for my other tyres for this one
