Finally wired up the volt meter today, nice and healthy, saw 14.5 at one point. The oil pressure is another matter. I need a brass t piece to go into the engine and there are plenty on ebay but what size? Anyone know?

Wow, it's been a while since I said anything about Piglet3.

Afraid it's all rather boring. Get in it, drive, go home etc. Nothing to fix, and other projects have taken over so little things like the oil switch can wait...BUT...I noticed the MOT expires in April. Of this year! YIKES I've been driving around in it for ages not knowing as the LJ was being a pain. Anyway she's booked in for tuesday!

I do like my MOT tester.

He had a quick look at the engine, asked me if all the lights work (they do) but he just asked...

Had her on the ramps and the usual inspection, wheel bearings, horn, washers & wipers etc.

Says she's all A1 and that was that!

The little Vit has been losing water and today it wet itself. The heater hose at the firewall had come apart where the jubilee clips are...ok no biggie I think as I can just cut a new tube to size, fit it and add coolant. So I did. Started burping the old girl and wtf more coolant everywhere! The jubilee clip had come adrift somehow. Arses. And now I had used all my coolant...so off down the road, bought a litre for £6!! and refilled. Then another jubilee clip failed..it actually fell apart. So...new clips at both ends, another trip down the road for 2 litres (yes, £12) and refill. Finally all done. Only thing that irks me is the price. 5 litres of anti freeze on Ebay is £15 delivered....dammit!

Running like clockwork again, and there is now zero water leakage. She's always used a bit and even after changing all the hoses, rad and water pump. However it now appears I missed one hose!!

Glad to hear it!

Gotta get my SJ going when I get back, and come down for a day.
