Sort her out and keep her, she’s an LJ and worth it

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
I was gutted when I had to let the SJ go. The red one, once it's sorted, I won't care about selling - it's got no sentimental value. But the wee beastie falling over in my signature will be sorely missed for the rest of time.
You have to do what you have to do. I had no choice, I'd have kept her if I could. If you have to sell piglet, then do it. And try not to think about it too much afterwards.
But if you can find a way to sell something else instead, learn from me and sell something else. You'll regret it far less.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
I know what you mean Anton. When Piglet 3 left I was almost in tears. I really loved that truck and I love this one even more. Thing is I borrowed money to buy the Yaris and I need to pay that back. Soonish. Piglet 6 needs rear brake shoes and a rear brake cylinder (got them) and some flanges for the prop are coming from Scottie (bless him lol). She'll sail through the MOT but it's the cost of fitting the parts. I can't do it right now as the pain in my chest (ribs again, what else?) is killing me.

I really wish I could be of more help, mate. I just got out of hospital again, private treatment (because the NHS won't treat Borellia/Babesia etc) and it wiped me out physically and financially, otherwise I'd find some way to help you out, mate.
I just bought new shocks for the red SJ, and now I've got about £30 in the bank.

The problem is you painted her orange, should have left her green.
On a serious note, if I was closer I would offer help

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Good news to report. She's not fixed and now on a SORN but I think I can keep her. Usually this time of year I restore bikes and bike parts but it's just too damn cold and wet to be arsed. However I am now fully booked for months doing decorating jobs. I guess the years of filling and repairing panels has paid off...so I am starting Piglet every week and letting her run up to temperature. Come spring I'll get the problems fixed and MOT her. Not going back to Adrian Flux for insurance though...I now have a little 1 litre Yaris to run about in and they quoted me £520 third party only! Got that insured for £200 with, of all things, Sheila's Wheels.
